This project resulted in the construction of 4,750 linear feet of stream channel restoration, removal of 38,500 tons of legacy sediment, creation of 8.5 acres of wetlands, and reduction of pollutants. The floodplain restoration also resulted in an additional 8.5 acres of developable area; a gross value of nearly $1.9 million.

 Project Highlights:

Public-Private partnership between the township and developer which meets regulatory requirements and Chesapeake Bay watershed goals.

Met township’s MS4 stormwater permit requirement through floodplain restoration without cost to taxpayers.
