Steinman Foundation
Initiated by the Steinman Foundation, this project proposes extensive streambank, floodplain, and wetland restoration and legacy sediment removal within a 2.5-mile corridor of the Little Conestoga Creek, yielding flood reduction benefits and environmental/biodiversity gains for the Creek, Susquehanna River, Chesapeake Bay, the municipalities and property owners.
Project Highlights:
Remove legacy sediments and the restore the Creek and wetlands to substantially reduce sediment and nutrient loading.
Restore biodiversity, ecologic function, and habitat.
Develop 2.9 miles of multi-modal trails.
