Over a period of months, municipal elected officials and staff provided input to us about potential changes in growth area boundaries throughout Lancaster County. Although LCPD staff provided advisory recommendations based on analysis, municipalities are in the driver’s seat. Changes can only be made to growth areas with the approval of municipal planning commissions and governing bodies.

Twenty-eight municipalities have proposed changes in growth area boundaries. For each of these municipalities, we’ve provided a map showing existing boundaries plus areas proposed for addition or removal. To see a map, click one of the links below.

On these maps:

• Existing growth area boundaries are shown in gray.
• Areas proposed for removal from growth areas are shown in orange.
• Areas proposed for addition to growth areas are shown in blue.

Please note that most of these municipalities have not yet adopted these changes. Instead, they adopted a resolution indicating that these maps accurately represent what they discussed with us.
