Lancaster Train Station Small Area Plan

Share your vision for the future of the area surrounding the Lancaster train station! The goal of this plan is to develop a planning and placemaking strategy, coordinated with Lancaster County Planning, the City of Lancaster, and Manheim Township. The following information was available at the February 9, 2022 Public Visioning Event. Please complete the survey below to provide your input about the future of the train station area.

Plan Introduction

The purpose of this plan is to develop a small area plan to provide a coordinated multi-municipal planning and placemaking strategy around the Lancaster Train Station. The goals for the plan are:
    •   Develop a Vision for the Area
    •   Conduct a Market Study to Better Understand the Economic Environment
    •   Identify Opportunities for the City of Lancaster and Manheim Township to Formally Cooperate to Achieve the Vision

Plan Timeline

The study was initiated in November 2021. Between the study kick-off and the February 2022 Public Visioning Event, the Plan Team has been conducting background research and developing a market analysis. After the Public Visioning Event, the Plan Team will continue their research and analysis and begin drafting the plan document. Another public event will be held in May 2022 to present the draft plan for public review. The final plan document will be completed in June 2022.
