Unified Planning Work Program

Fiscal Year 2014 - 2016
(July 1, 2014, through June, 30 2016)
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) brings together the essence of the five most important functions of the MPO Transportation Planning Process:
  • To be the body responsible for the critical transportation planning and programming decisions affecting its planning region.
  • To adopt, maintain, and update a financially constrained and conforming Long-Range Transportation Plan that includes all projects that the region anticipates undertaking over the next 20 to 25 years.
  • To update, adopt, and administer a four-year Transportation Improvement Program that includes those projects and phases that will be implemented in the next four years.
  • To develop, adopt, and carry out a work program that supports a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive transportation planning process that addresses the MPO’s most important functions.
  • To provide for full public participation throughout the planning process to ensure that all views are heard and considered affecting transportation plans, projects, operations, and their impact.
